L-3 ASA has managed the successful implementation of the new Child Abuse Image Database. Working with its partners, NetClean and Hubstream, it has delivered this complex technology system within very demanding timescales to meet the UK Government’s commitment to have the database in place by the end of 2014.

Procured by the Home Office from the UK Government G-Cloud framework the highly secure system will be made available to 46 UK police forces and law enforcement agencies. It provides a centralised national database containing millions of Child Abuse images that authorised officers can use to quickly differentiate between new and existing material improving their ability to identify and safeguard victims. The system includes tools for the analysis, grading and uploading of images.
